The Hematologic Malignancies Data Repository (HMDR)
Integration of highly curated clinicopathologic data and next-generation sequencing data is a central challenge in translational research. We developed the Hematologic Malignancies Data Repository (HMDR) as a way to enhance the scope and uniformity of clinical data and promote research in hematologic malignancies at DFCI.

- Systematic abstraction of high-quality clinical and genetic data: we defined a set of core clinical and genetic data elements for all patients, augmented by additional high value data elements for specific diseases.
- Enable access to integrated, de-identified data: to facilitate hypothesis generation, study design, and feasibility assessment, these curated data are made available to investigators through cBio@DFCI in collaboration with the Knowledge Systems Group.
- Facilitate access to data and promote conduct of research: we function as a research support team through establishment of a step-by-step data request pipeline that guides users through cohort generation, governance, IRB application, and data delivery.
